Andrzej M. Dziekonski, RN President & Site Director
Andrzej brings a well-rounded background in clinical research, with hands-on experience in university, hospital, and private research site settings. Over the course of his career, he has contributed to the successful execution of numerous Phase I–IV industry-sponsored clinical trials across therapeutic areas including respiratory, gastrointestinal, cardiometabolic, endocrinology, cardiology, neurology, and infectious diseases.
His diverse experience has given him a deep understanding of the unique challenges and strengths of different research environments — from the academic rigor of university-based trials, to the high-volume patient care of hospital settings, to the operational agility of private research sites. This perspective allows Andrzej to design and oversee efficient workflows that balance scientific integrity with patient-centered care.
At Novera Clinical Research, Andrzej leads site operations and strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, strong sponsor/CRO partnerships, and smooth execution of every study. He is committed to advancing research opportunities for the Miami community while maintaining the highest standards of quality and performance
Romulo Clavelo, MD – Principal Investigator & Medical Director
Dr. Romulo Clavelo is a board-certified physician with over 30 years of experience in patient care and a proven track record in clinical research. He has served as both Principal Investigator and Sub-Investigator on numerous Phase II–IV clinical trials, with experience spanning therapeutic areas such as metabolic disorders, cardiology, infectious diseases, neurology, respiratory, and gastrointestinal conditions. His broad expertise allows him to bring both medical insight and research leadership to every study he oversees.
In addition to his research leadership, Dr. Clavelo has been serving the Little Havana community in Miami for many years through his private medical practice. This long-standing connection has allowed him to build trusted relationships with a diverse patient population, which translates into strong recruitment capabilities and meaningful opportunities for patients to access innovative therapies.
As the Principal Investigator and Medical Director at Novera Clinical Research, Dr. Clavelo now leads the site’s clinical oversight and readiness for collaboration with sponsors and CROs. His dual role as an active physician and experienced investigator enables him to bridge the gap between clinical practice and research innovation, offering patients access to cutting-edge therapies while maintaining a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
